Tatworth Chard

I have seen a house in Tamworth near Chard I like. looking at previous threads, Chard itself seems a bit of a dire area. Can anyone advise me?

Tatworth is nice, Chard is not, schools in chard not so great either, Axminster is nearby and may be an option for schools with lots going on too.

I live about half an hour or so from Chard. It has got a bit of a reputation, but it's not that bad that it would stop me living there..well I would pick my area. Tatworth would be OK I reckon. Everywhere around is lovely though, the countryside is beautiful. Ford Abbey and Cricket st Thomas are nearby. I would prefer Axminster which is a nice quiet little town with a train line to London and Exeter. Or Crewkerne which is also a nice pretty town with a Waitrose and is on the same train line. Chard has a B&Q, Tesco and Sainsburys. Is there anything else you wanted to know about the area?

Thanks very much. I had had a look at Crewkerne and Axminster, so will concentrate on these areas.
