Need advice stay where we are or move?

Cannot decide what to do.

Reasons for staying - 5 bed house, nice garden, could repay mortgage early if I start work

Reasons for moving - whilst my street is nice cul de sac v little traffic, very quiet, step out my street rough end of town, had junkies bouncing off my car, find needles when walking the dog. Desperately need a new kitchen, cost and upheaval of one v moving.

Then there's the cost of moving would bump our mortgage by another 100K to get to the nicer part of town . Whilst we can afford it comfortably it would mean less disposable income.

Really don't know what to do?

The cost and upheaval of having a new kitchen does in now way compare to the hassle of finding a house, securing it and selling your own house!

Plus you get to design your kitchen really really well since you have lived in the space for ages so know what works.

Basically - do you want to live in a nicer area or not? If so, you'll have to pay the extra or downsize. No one else can make that choice for you.
