UK house price data

Does anyone know a quick way to find the average percentage increase of houses in a certain area/town over the last two years please? I’ve tried Zoopla and Rightmove but can only seem to find the percentage for the last 12 months. Other sites (including Gov.uk) seem to have national data but you can’t drill down to a particular town.

Thanks.

Or in a particular area over a longer time period?
Apologies for shameless piggy back.

Try the Nationwide house price index. They even use it to value houses on remortgages for existing customers who are just switching products.

Zoopla does it for specific houses for 2 years (can go back 5 years). They also have average house price graphs for postcode areas, so you can look at those to work typical percentages. But they are a pretty crude measurement I think.
