Anyone know what this is?

We want to create a drive way (with drop curbs, legals etc) but have this smack bang in the middle of the width of our front garden.

It sits on the pavement/garden boarder. It's the only one in the street.

When we open it we can see wired which look like telephone wires (although the green box is just across the street)

Anyone know what it is, or how I can find out, and where I can go to get it removed/moved to somewhere else?

Po stands for post office who first ran telephones I believe. I am sure it could be changed into something flatter even if you had to pay.

If there's a green box nearby it might even be redundant.

Phone lines. BT boxes are notoriously expensive to move.

Is it actually on your land though? Check your deeds to see if BT have a Wayleave agreement to access your property to maintain it. Worth getting in touch with them so see if they'll move it.

Fab. Thank you everyone. Will check the deeds and get in touch with bt to find out what they can tell me!
