central heating

we have central heating and it wont come on we turn the thermastat and the boiler fires up once then cuts out its showing a blue flashing light on front of boiler when it should be stable the boiler is a ideal eaga icos he 15 has any body got a clue what it could be thank you

Just check the water pressure for your central heating. If it drops too low, your boiler won't work. It should be at 1.5 bar.

mine isnt a combination boiler does this still be the same 1.5 bar cheers

Sorry no. I was thinking that it was a combi boiler. Is yours a vented or unvented system?

Could be the thermocouple. Can you light the pilot light but then it fails to fire up and the pilot goes out?
