Big problem- how to support chimney with brackets!

Hi ppl would really appreciate some advice here.

We are doing a loft conversion and have gotten rid of the chimney breast in the loft. The building inspector ame and told us to support the stack with gallow brackets and plate. But problem is the timber post holding the roof steel beam goes right bang in the middle under the chimney stack and the plate thats 40cm diameter and 1metre width doesnt go there. Im uploading pics do if anybody can advise me on this please what is the best way to do this

Can't you speak to your structural engineer who drew up the plans and did the calculations in the first place?
