Anybody got a boiling water tap which isn't a quooker?

And is it any good? I can't believe how much quooker taps are (but I still really want a boiling water tap!)

I have an insinkerator 3 in 1. So far it's amazing. Was about £450 for tap and tank and filter. A family member has had the same one for years and still going well.

It's 98. I find it's definitely enough but I'm not a tea purist so you may think different. It's half the price though of a quooker!

We've got a Franke. It was a lot less than a quooker. It's 100 degree water and yes, you can make tea with it I use it all the time not just in cooking but also for cleaning purposes. It's so convenient.

Aren't they ridiculously bad for the environment? Can't you just boil the kettle when you want a cup of tea?

We've got a Grohe hot water tap. It runs at 98 degrees. We wouldn't be without it, I love it. But I am a minimalist and don't like anything on my kitchen worktops.

Gaaaah - which Franke one do you have?

A friend's is continually breaking down and she has to resort to a kettle! So I didn't bother on our kitchen refit.

Ours is a Grohe 99 degrees one and it is brilliant. It also houses the 'normal' water, so no need for a separate rap. Love it soooo much.

I've read that it costs 3p per day to run a boiling water tap and 2.5p to boil a kettle. So if you boil more than two kettles a day, you would be using less electricity.

Although it depends on how many kettles you boil in a day I suppose.

I've decided I want a Franke 4-in-one because it has a filter for use in a hard water area as well as supplies normal hot and cold water like a regular kitchen tap.
