Loft Comversion Layout

We are getting our loft converted 'this autumn.

Proposed plans attached.

I'm worried we are missing a trick with small dormers and the layout. So much storage.

The staircase has to stay as it is.

I would like big dormers on the other sides of the house. That's the side that faces the garden. H insists it will be better as is.

Any input and insights would be really appreciated.

In general - I would max your full-head-height.

I think a full width dormer with lots windows over the garden (not Juliette doors because then you can't use the space in front e.g. for chest of drawers) makes a loft conversion a lovely thing.

I think a big dormer would spoil the look of your house.
Also, you would lose a lot of heat with a big dormer, and you would need planning permission.
