Lights under wall units

I am confused by the choice. I don't know what I should get. I think I want them hard wired into the mains (having a kitchen extension built so can put wires in), so you switch them on at the main light switch. Please help! Which is most useful/gives the best working light?

I think we're having LED strip lights for exactly. this

Yes warm white LED strip lights under cabinets here too.

Ace. Is that the best level of lighting & mains wired?

DH is a right old fusspot about lighting And he's always right but don't tell him I said that so it probably is and yes all mains powered and switches on and off at the light switch.

I've got a seperate switch for the under unit lights. In the evening, when we have cleared up after dinner, i leave them on and turn the main ones off. It kind of creates a 'kitchen closed' feel. Also, i am trying to keep my hungry teenagers out of the cupboards! Grin

Ours are mains wired. They turn on at the main light switch. They're on a tape that's stuck underneath the cupboards so you can't see it. Ours were a few quid from Hong Kong via Amazon or eBay. They've lasted 2 years so far!! It's lovely having them on in the evening.

Definitely get them mains wired to a normal wall switch. The ones we inherited with individual switches per light panel were such a faff I never used them.

Thanks everyone. Is the led strip the way to go?
