Laminate flooring

My son has fallen in love with a grey type coloured laminate floor but I just cant imagine how it will look with pine or oak ikea type furniture...will it look ridiculous? Hopefully this link to flooring will work...

I think it would look ok with oak as it has a cooler tone to pine. Could you paint the pine furniture white?

Ive just used ash, and it was about the same price as the laminate you've put above. It was from a company in Devon called UK Hardwoods who delivered to me within a week of ordering. Their website isn't to great- but I just emailed them and they go back to me so quickly. Now I have a real solid wood floor at the same price as the laminate I was looking at getting. Its so much nicer to walk on! I have loads of Ikea furniture- don't see the problem with the two.
