I need some new wardrobes for my 1920's house, bedroom has sloped ceilings so they need to be custom made. Have had a quotes from 3 local carpenters and Sharps. Not much change out of £4,000 either way for a pretty basic design - that includes one of the carpenters (reluctantly) customising IKEA Pax. Sharps tell me our house has high ceilings,(it doesn't) ie their doors only come in one size, so I don't get full access to the top shelf. Does anyone know of other companies who don't charge the earth, and can be more flexible about door height.
