Where to buy nice fabrics / curtains

I am in Surrey. Looking for curtain fabric and or place that makes curtains online or in Surrey / London.

Painting sitting room in Farrow and Ball Inchyra blue with Railings skirting etc. So since this is different I would like to find somewhere I can get a wide range to choose from or help matching the colours. Any ideas? Happy to look online if good quality and works with F&B colours.

John Lewis? I ordered a lot of swatches before finding the right one but absolutely love the curtains I had made. They were eye wateringly expensive though.

Have a look at the F and B inspiration site. There may be examples of fabrics with the colours you have chosen. Or just google the colours and see what comes up! Houzz may help. Then look at fabric manufacturers like Romo, Harlequin, Clarke and Clarke, Sanderson, Designers Guild Etc etc. You can order samples from all the companies! The trick is to narrow down the choice!

www.textileexpress.co.uk - huge selection of fabrics, send free samples, do a make-up service

www.linenfabrics.co.uk - great selection of...er...linen! Also make up

I've used both for roman blinds and curtains (via mail order) and have been very pleased.

John Lewis. 7 days made to measure service. Not cheap but for curtains that I expect to last 20 years, not too £££. Think I paid about £700
for a really big window. V. good quality. You can order free swatches through the post.

Dunelm prices seemed similar but they will come out to your house with swatches and measure up for you. Also good quality.

Pleased with both companies.

For good value basic curtains I like Curtains2Go. For something more fancy and long lasting John Lewis.

Just wondering which company you went with in the end ecosin ? Also in Surrey and about to do my new curtains and blinds in new house.

Any where apart from Laura Ashley.
Actually their fabric is ok but their MTM stuff is dire.

I've used TerrysFabrics.co.uk recently. Excellent range and on the fabric I was looking at, almost £10/m cheaper than other sites selling the same fabric.

Curtain factory outlet is amazing- it was recommended to me by someone on here.
