Recommendations for comfy mattresses please!

Need to buy a new double mattress. Don't want to spend loads. Any recommendations?

We got ours from Ikea for about £200 and love it. They do both UK and European sizings now (only used to do European). They have various styles, so worth visiting. The one we got came rolled up (king size!) so fitted in the back of the car, but you can pay £35 for them to deliver and take away your old one.

I'd second IKEA. We've had a few of them and always been happy. We always choose the most firm type. They are very fairly priced IMO.

Laura Ashley Beaumont is amazing. We bought ours when they had a 70% off mattresses (which happen fairly regularly if you keep an eye out). Best "house" purchase we've ever made.
