Curtain/blind matching. Help please!

I'm shit at decorating and making stuff match. We have these browny sort of colour curtains and now we need something for the window next to it. Would a blind look ok? What sort of blind and what colour/pattern if so?

We had a similar issue with a French door and window next to it. Unless you can use the same fabric I wouldn't try and match at all. We've gone for wooden Venetian blinds. It looks great.

I'm not a fan of matchy matchy so wooden blinds is a good idea. How are they at keeping the heat in on a night?

They're fine. I did reseal the windows just before they were put up though which probably helps.
