Hi i just need advice from someone who lives in council housing

I am 39 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child and after waiting 8 years finally came 1st on the council bidding 😀

Heres the promblem its been a week and ive heard nothing from the council no confirmation, no viewing date nothing. When i called the woman just said she couldnt tell me much ive just got to wait and theyll call of they need me.

How long did it take you ladies after you won bidding for your council to get in contact? Worrying they are going to overlook me now and want to move out before DS is here

About a week before I got a call.

They check your application matches their criteria and the criteria for the property to make sure of eligibility.

Don't panic, but do call back before the end of the week if you haven't heard.

It usually takes 1/2 weeks to hear anything here. Also, even if you're first, there may be someone with priority need for the house who has not placed a bid for whatever reason and the housing officer has to assess who has the greatest need for the house.

Thank you,
I feel like the council gives very little information so all advice is very appreciated :)
