Hastings DFL

Hi all, the saga of us buying grinds on after almost 3 years, and we are considering Hastings again. My BIL has a house in the Old Town, so we spend a lot of time down there, but I have no idea about the areas. I would like a semi-detached house for under £400k but would like a decent sized garden, and be near green space either West Hill or Alexandra Park or the Country Park. I don't need to be able to walk to the beach on a daily basis though. I would like to be by a nice friendly school for my DD9. I don't need a Victorian house, but then don't want to live in a close of new builds. Can you steer me in the right direction? Thanks very much!

Secondary school is the main criteria imv.

Are there any favourites in the area mistress? (That felt weird! 😅)

Haha, no idea. But when my DCs were that age we moved for the secondary school, not the cheapest property or near parks etc, and it paid off as it was V popular, they wouldn't have got in unless well in the catchment area which we were.
