Light bulbs

Hi got a few light bulbs which have looked like this when they've gone. Is this anything to worry about?

if the glass in unbroken, it doesn't matter.

the stain reminds me of a Halogen lamp. What sort is it?

Just a regular filament light bulb.

unusual then. But small lamps may not have the protective fuse to break the current when they start to burn out. You can get LED candles now, which run much cooler and last longer. They are unlikely to work with an existing dimmer, though. I find them brighter than the packaging suggests.

In Tesco they still cost more than in Wilko or Wickes, but the price keeps coming down.

We got LED candle bulbs from Home Bargains - 89p each

They have warm white and daylight - I prefer the warm white but depends what you need the lighting for
