Freestanding kitchen

I'm after a nice freestanding kitchen, but all the ones I can find are quite cottagey, which won't really look right in our '60s house. Any ideas?

DIY Kitchens do a retro style kitchen - with chrome legs, no plinth, etc you could get the look. It's in their showroom which you can your online. It might not be what you are looking for though. Ikea's Varde kitchen units are freestanding I think and Habitat probably do something similar.

Thanks! Haven't looked at those yet but I will now.

We've had a freestanding kitchen for the last couple of years - it was supposed to be temporary while we save up for the kitchen of our dreams, but I know actually really like it. We've got the Ikea Varde units, which we bought from Ebay as I don't think they're made any more. They're extremely solid with great beech worktops and have tonnes of storage. Would work well in a sixties house.

I quite like Varde, I think a friend has it.
