Where's best for getting a kitchen design?

Planning on using DIY Kitchens but it would be helpful to get a design from a high-street place first. Thinking Wickes, Howdens, Magnet etc. Where's best that does a home visit to measure up, then a really good design and gives you the list of bits so you can buy them elsewhere?

I've had designs done by Wickes and Howdens and the latter just asked me what I wanted where. No inspiration really. I've had mine drawn up
by OnePlanOnHouzz.

We had 2 for our kitchen. Magnet and Benchmarx.

Magnet had some good ideas (albiet expensive ones) but were crap when we asked questions about things later ( ie never returned our emails or calls!)

Benchmarx was good too and with our quote was a list of every little bit included which was handy.
We have decided on Benchmarx for both the kitchen and utility room.

Neither came to measure up as we went by the architects plans for our new extension.
