Tell me about Margate please

We are both creative, europeans, no kids yet. I don't want to live in London anymore to avoid pollution and stress. But we wish to be able to commute there once a week. Budget K260-280 cash. I would love to hear your thoughts about Margate. Thanks

Any views on the road Mere Gate?

I am commenting on an old thread here. Margate IS an extremely creative place to live, whatever age you are. We're retired and moved here 4 yrs ago and love it. It reminds me of a small town in SoCal I once lived many moons ago. ALso, the place is spoilt for cafes and restaurants, literally every cuisine you can think of.

Have you looked at Rye? Lovely little town, lots of community feeling, close to Camber Sands, close to Ashford for Euro star.
