I am about to replace the ugliest banister in the world on my landing. I will be installing a new handrails and UPRIGHT SPINDLES!!!! so excited by this!!! I have been on B&Q and they sell heavy handrail and light handrail. I am wondering if this makes much difference on a landing re load bearing etc. I would assume as there is no disclaimer that either would be suitable but the heavy one is pre coated (in 32mm) and I want natural wood which is only available in the light handrail
Any advice is very welcome!
