Not sure if this is the best place to ask this but I know the poster who visit here are usually very knowledgeable on all sorts of things.
The last day or two I've noticed that our rayburn (300k, cook only) isn't very warm. Yesterday morning I turned it up to 5 (range is 1 - 6) but by the evening it says still only showing the temperature as 'bake' when it should definitely have reached 'roast'. We did have another thermometer with actual numbers but it got broken a week or so ago, typical!
The burner is still lit (I can see blue flames) but the temperature is still low, bottom end of 'bake'.
Any suggestions as to what might be wrong? Should I switch it off and call the engineer (this is our only oven), switch it off, let it cool and relight or just leave it?
Thanks for any advice/help you might be able to give.
