Are mortgages easier to get now?

Or are they tightening up and not lending money
I know that's a generalised question and each lender may have different criteria
I'm just wondering as I'm seeking a mortgage on my own

Easier to get than when? We had no problem a few months ago.

You need to provide chapter and verse on your finances, but providing you pass their affordability criteria for the amount you want to borrow, you should be fine. Criteria depend on the lender. A good broker will be able to advise you. Some lenders have reputations for taking forever to grant a mortgage.
