Patio doors

We're replacing our rotten French patio doors and have been looking at different options. They're in our kitchen and open onto a deck. At some point in the future we might do a side return extension so I'd like to reuse them if possible!

I'd like something contemporary and thin framed. Love these

And also like the Crittall doors like these

Does anyone have any advice about the pros and cons of these types of doors? Are they crazily impractical? Can we make sure they keep the kitchen warm? Etc.

Should we be looking at bifold or other doors?

All depends on budget really. Security wise, I'm not too sure about the thin doors in your links. I'd always go for security first, then looks. Some doors can really bump up your insurance premium.
