PurpleBricks - Views?

Hello,

Currently in the process of selling our first home and have instructed PurpleBricks on the basis that they were much cheaper than high street quotes we received.

We are also in the process of buying and I have been getting really frustrated trying to book viewings through agents (with purple bricks you set up your 'diary' online and people can book straight through the website - def positive for them I would say).

My main concern is, from a buyers perspective, do you feel comfortable buying/putting an offer in basically through an app rather than having an agent there to speak to?

We do our own viewings at the moment but for an additional fee we could have the purple bricks agent so them for us, just he wouldn't have as much availability as we do.

Any other general experiences of PurpleBricks would be appreciated!

It's funny that everybody who posts about how bad Purplebricks are, never seems to have had any problems with a High St EA - which is just really, really unlikely given how many more high street agents there are compared to online agents.

I've used both and I know I'm in a minority.

Most people have only ever used high street agents.

And there's a reason why high street EAs have a bad reputation and it existed long before online agents came along.

futuristic1 - I've definitely had problems with a high street EA (as a buyer), there's a whole discussion topic on my 'experience' a couple of weeks ago Smile.

So, I definitely agree that both have their problems!

Oh I know people have problems with traditional estate agents. I have been called a caunt many times on mumsnet because of it.

I guess people feel that High Street Agents are more accountable than the online ones?

Cunt even!
