conservatory/sunroom furniture

What do you have in your conservatory or sunroom? We've just converted a crappy utility area/porch at the rear of the house into a more usable sun/garden room and I'm wondering what kind of furniture to put in. I'd probably rather avoid the usual wicker/rattan type stuff but not sure what else really suits this kind of room? It's not massive but I reckon it's big enough to fit eg a couple of chairs and a smallish coffee table.

Also it's the back door of the house so we will still need a corner for muddy boots/shoes etc. so it's not going to be a 'posh' room IYKWIM!

Any ideas or suggestions?

I'd do a boot room sort of look, so maybe some sort of church pew like thing will storage underneath for shoes and stuff that seems to collect in such rooms (gloves, etc)?

What do you want to use it for? Extra sitting room? Play room? General storage space?

Not a play room, more like a boot room/sitting space. Somewhere to enjoy a cuppa in the morning sun, looking out at the garden.

I had thought of one of those ikea stubs bench things so I can hide boots in it and perch on the top..

But it would be nice to also have a more comfy, curl up and read a book-type chair?

I have a tall slim basket with lid that keeps all our muddy boots in out of sight. I also have a small 140 cm wide sofa which I cover in a throw to protect it. It's actually big enough for 2 adults to sit on comfortably and 2 young kids to squeeze on too! It's my favourite spot in the house atm (if i can mentally block out the huge mess on the dc 'craft table' that is!)

Ah ok - I would probably go for some kind of cupboards to store muddy boots and coats in, and a nice comfy ikea 2 seater erktop sofa (in white) and a coffee table, and lots of plants. Maybe an inside/outside rug as well if you can find one you like.

Ok so small sofa might be a good idea, I had wondered about the ikea one as it's quite compact and simple. Radiator and flooring go in tomorrow so that might help me visualise the rest of it!

We have White sofas and a large White rug, so the fading doesn't show so much. Removeable covers that can be chucked in the washing machine.
