floor covering for tiny downstairs loo?

We've got a tiny under-the-stairs downstairs loo. It has cream carpet from when we bought the house (just over a year ago) and I want to change it.

The hallway it's off will have wood topped laminate, but the shop said that doesn't fit well in existing toilets as ideally you have to lift the toilet etc and put it under so i'm assuming that applies to tiles too and thinking instead of vinyl tiles maybe? I can't really decide what colour/design... any ideas? The only idea I have is that probably a light colour would be best given the size of the room (tiny).

is it a concrete floor or wooden?

Is it cracked or sagging?

Is the soil pipe horizontal or vertical?

I went to a flooring showroom and got some Karndean floor tiles ridiculously cheap because they were end of line. We did have to buy some special adhesive but it was easy enough and we just cut round the loo.

do a Penny floor....I have random plans to do this in the front porch.

I love how it looks!

What's a penny floor?

Can't answer piglets questions as not ripped all the carpet up.

Literally a floor of pennies

you can lay them in patterns or at random, shine them up for colour contrast, save them up and stick them down! :o

Get luxury vinyl tiles, they're waterproof and amazing! My dad is a builder and put them in my en suite and my friends bathroom!

Those penny floors look amazing!

I've got some nice vinyl. The carpet shop man came to fit it.

You get some nice Lino these days - pretty cheap too

Look into vinyl options - out of fashion but there are some really lovely ones these days. My friend has black with little sparkles in her tiny loo and it looks amazing, but I bet they do nice lighter options too.
