Solid oak or oak veneer doors?

Advice needed please.

We want to replace all our interior doors (6 in total) with oak doors but most we have seen are oak veneers with composite filling. Are these as nice as solid oak?
They are half the price but wondered if it's worth paying extra for the solid ones? Or if you can't tell a difference?

We've recently moved into a new house. The solid oak doors are the things I like best about the house. They are lovely. I wish the door surrounds were oak too ( they are pine and look a little "mismatched").
If you go for solid oak ....make sure you choose good quality handles too.

Trouble is wherever I look the website reads '100% solid oak' but when you look at the detail it says veneer!
I'd really like something top quality as like you say, they do look lovely

I just got wickes oak veneer doors - and am really happy with them. They are heavy and feel v solid. If money was no object solid oak would be better I'm sure. But like everything it's a cost v quality pay off.

I have the veneer type and am very pleased with them. Remember that you will have to have some Fire Doors in certain rooms
