Column radiators - good brands?

I need to replace a few cheap and nasty radiators and want to replace with more attractive column radiators (appropriate to house). I don't want reconditioned ones so it'll be repro (efficiency and reliability). I have a combi boiler, if that makes a difference.

Any tips on who/where/what to buy? What should I look out for, spec wise?

We have them in new extension and love them

Get black gloss as the output is much higher than white or grey (look at the BTU numbers)

I can't remember the make ATM apart from one is called excite iirc

Love the fact that they don't go under Windows as I personally hate that with heat lost out of window but builder thought I was barmy

We have Acova column radiators as recommended by a structural engineer friend. You need to get the right number of radiators / BTUs for your room but he also suggested that we should get the white ones because they seem to retain heat (even after they are switched off). Was sceptical but he seems to be correct so far.

I replaced some of the radiators in my period property with Zehnder brand which came highly recommended by my plumber/project manager. They throw out a lot of heat for their surface area because they're made of tubes, not t-shape.
You have to order them by the element (I got 3 tubes deep x 10 tubes wide x1.50 height and paid about £200 each in Euros) and the white ones I got are reeeeeally nice.
I'll find you a picture.

We also have acova in white (bought from between B&Q and Screwfix as different sizes were cheaper in each). We love them, but beware that they are heavy and so the bigger ones will need feet, which, to get the "official" matching feet are very expensive!

Has anyone experience of the Milano Windsor range from bestheating.com. They are the only ones I can find that are in our budget range? I am a bit nervous about purchasing online and can't seem to find independent reviews of this range.

The next is the Acova from screfix but they are more expensive.

Your thoughts would be a big help.
