What colour doors?

What are your oppinions on internal doors - white, or oak (veneer)?

Hallway has oak (effect?) engineered wood flooring.

I am having the doors, door frames and skirting and architrave removed and replaced in the bedrooms. Woodwork will be white.

Doors will be 4 panel style... but I can't decide between white or oak? White would match the woodwork, but oak might look nicer overall?

Would it looks silly having colour on the walls, white woodwork then oak doors?

Anyone have an opinion on these two doors?

With a period house I would go with eggshell white 4 panel doors. I like pale oak but they have to be good quality to look good and often it is the more modern designs which look good.

I hope not because it's what I have. Grin

What age is your house? Is the whole look traditional or modern or a mixture of both?

I think either option is ok. I used cheap doors but decent handles and hinges.

It's a 60s build ex council house - so not period and not really modern either...

Maybe I should have a look at more modern doors.
