Yup, that's revolting. I struggled to spot the 'many original features' as claimed in the blurb, certainly in the interior. This property has been cheaply and unsympathetically 'modernised' over the years removing most of those. Even the fireplace is modern. Could suit a conversion into flats, are you looking at it? Not sure where you would make your money unless the vendors would move a lot on the asking price.

specialsubject · 01/11/2016 16:05

argh - didn't realise you meant that literally!

'in need of modernisation' - should read 'needs a serious cleanup before anyone risks walking through the door'

Serin · 01/11/2016 19:42

No not looking at that particular one but I do love older houses with high ceilings and a bit of potential!

It's only 200 for 5 bedrooms though!! We have a rubbish 3 bed ex council terrace for that. I could happily replace a toilet at that price...

Spudlet · 01/11/2016 19:55

That's what our bathroom looked like when we moved in. Envy

Palomb · 01/11/2016 19:59

That's a beautiful house! I'd happily overlook the pissy toilet seat.

DorcasthePuffin · 01/11/2016 20:48

I love that house!

Briette · 01/11/2016 21:39

I just finished ripping out a bathroom like that (even had the same tiles!) - bleurgh. The house has got potential but what a shame to run it down like that.

Lilmisskittykat · 01/11/2016 21:59

You probably wouldn't want to live in long shite though....

DorcasthePuffin · 01/11/2016 22:14

Cheap for a reason other than the shitty toilet, then?

Longdistance · 01/11/2016 22:21

Student accommodation springs to mind.

Could be a good investment for someone.

Serin · 06/11/2016 09:23

Yep student investment is what we are looking at. Already paying out for one student and have 2 more teens raring to go.
