Do I need a riser kit for a shower tray on wooden floor?

We are currently having two bathrooms replaced. One has a shower cubicle which is going over wooden floor boards (which will then have ply on top and karndean).

Do I need a riser kit for the shower tray. The website seems to indicate that its needed for concrete floors but is it sensible to have one anyway for access purposes just in case there are any plumbing issues in the future?

I think it's a good idea. Leaks around showers are not uncommon, so being able to look underneath, dry it out, and if necessary tighten or replace the trap, will be much easier if you don't have to smash the tiles and dismantle the enclosure.

Thanks PigletJohn. I thought it was probably sensible but didn't know if I was being overly cautious.
