Anyone installed a custom worktop with IKEA Metod kitchens?

I'm planning to buy a Metod kitchen but would like a quartz worktop.

I've found cheaper from a supplier but worktop depth for Metod are 635mm and for most standard kitchens are 600mm.

Supplier has said standard 600mm would be cheaper or has said he could use a 30mm up-stand to push it out to 630mm.

Has anyone done this? Put a not quite 635mm depth countertop on Ikea Metod?

Thanks

Diykitchens have wide ones and seem to be reasonably priced. Where are you getting yours?

Just got a quote from a local stone countertops guy

I wouldn't, I think an upstand that wide would look quite odd.

Yes - we added a bespoke quartz worktop to a Metod kitchen. The worktop was cut from pieces that were far wider than 630mm. I have just measured the depth of a piece that is an L shape, without a join, and the widest part is 900mm, the other part is 700mm.
