Harvey Jones Linear style kitchen on DIY kitchen budget

Looking for tips on how we can give our kitchen the look of a more upmarket ( for want of a better word) kitchen . Our basic kitchen is likely to be from DIY kitchens but really like look of Harvey Jones Linear inframe (not shaker) style - what should we be spending money on? Worktop, taps, sink?

Get a shaker in frame kitchen and replace the doors with made to fit flat panel ones?
I suspect the overall look and feel is down to how it is styled and designed, space and proportion etc. Big regular sized units, simple lines etc. You can do that with anybody's units.

My friend has this in grey and white and it's lovely.
