Mat/rug for cold kitchen floor

What do you think would look best and be most practical for travertine floor tiles in a kitchen? I knew they'd be cold but they're painfully so! I like sea grass but also old fashioned style rugs in darker colours

I really don't like rugs on kitchen floors. I feel you would always be cleaning it. I would just get some cosy slippers.
