Log burner in a small room - too much?

We are thinking of putting a log burner in our lounge. It's approx 13ft x 10ft.
We were going to go for the smallest size burner in the range.

Will we be boiling alive every time it's lit?

We have one in a similar room, it's the best thing we ever did.

I am currently sat in front of mine, happily burning away, in a 4 by 3m room.

Ooh great! I really fancy one. We had an open fire in an old house in a similar sized room and it did get too hot but I wasn't sure what a log burner would be like.

You won't be too hot, you will be lovely and cosy

Wood burners or multi-fuel burners are quite controllable, certainly compared to open fires.

I don't like to be too hot so we keep ours quite low. Just chuck a log on and turn the air vents so that not much air feeds the fire and it will give out a nice gradual cosy heat over a long period. We've only put two logs on tonight and it is giving out a nice low heat. You soon get the hang of it.
