Relocating front door - planning needed?

Currently our front door is on the side of the house but we have been considering moving it to the front to change the flow of downstairs.

I cant seem to find details which say yes or no on the councils webpage and was just wondering if anyone on here had done this?

Will phone local planning office at some point but seem to forget every day in the midst of kids, work etc.

If you're planning to open a hole in an outer wall you will need at least building control approval, they'll want to check the move doesn't put you on the wrong side of fire regulations, and that there is a proper lentle or beam above the new door. Good luck :)
