alternative to nets?

My children share a room with a huge window which spans the whole wall and is overlooked by the flat opposite. We live abroad so have outside shutters but I want to put something up so that we don't feel overlooked when the shutters are open. Not sure what though! Some sort of net curtains would seem to be in order but I haven't seen anything I would like for a children's room. Any ideas?

I think that is fine for a bathroom but we want to be able to see out!
