Buyers want 2nd viewing after exchange

Everything from the sale of our house has been met with huge delays, we wanted to move in the summer hols so we could start eldest at a school where we're relocating to but all delayed until now. All delays coming from our buyer. Now we've finally exchanged and they've asked for a second viewing. It might just be to measure but I'm really nervous as so much has gone wrong. Please give me some reassurance!

If you've exchanged it will cost them a fortune to fuck you over, your solicitor would sue the arses off them. I'm sure it's just to measure.

They just want to measure up for their furniture and curtains I'm sure.

It will be just to measure up. They can't pull out after exchange as they will lose their deposit/be sued.

We wanted to measure up, get some quotes for work that the survey said was required, I wouldn't worry.

We also wanted to measure up, remind ourselves of basic things (like number of light fittings). If you've exchanged they can't extract themselves without paying a fortune, so I wouldn't be too worried.

Thank goodness for you all! I'm just freaking out really, so much has gone wrong so far. Thanks for the reassurance, I feel like I can breath a bit easier.

This seems perfectly reasonable. It's a strange thing, that people are expected to buy a house for £000000s on one or hopefully two viewings.

As others have said, after exchange there's no going back. We let our last purchaser view 10 times, 8 before exchange 2 after. It was a bit much, but it just made her want the property more!

Our vendor was a bit iffy when we asked for a second viewing post survey, we had to assure her that it was just to refresh our memory.

I wouldn't worry, as PPs say, surely it's just to measure up etc. We once had a buyer who came to view on moving out day! That was great, it's not stressful enough without a bunch of strangers watching! I had tried to refuse but agent said it was their right. It was then my right to rip up the large pile of manuals, instructions, local info, tradesmen details etc I had so carefully put together for them ...

As everyone else has said DarthMother they can't pull out now without huge penalties so prob just want to measure or remind themselves of what things look like or of any work they want to do.

I've asked if I can go and measure up next week, its been ages since I looked at the house and I just want to get an idea of what I need to take curtains/blinds wise as there are so many windows in the new place.

We did this basically to make sure out piano would fit! (It did).
