We want to put the kitchen sink in the utility area, at 90° to the wall, forming a barrier between the cooking area and the utility area (think 1930s house with a kitchen extension so the sink is under where the window of the original galley kitchen was). The sink would be accessible from both the utility and the cooking area, albeit with a 15cm border between the standing area and the sink on the cooking side. We haven't decided on the type of sink yet. but want a draining board nearest the wall, sink and probably a middle half sink between the two.
Question is, where would you locate the tap?
