Led.lights under.quartz worktop

So.our builder has suggested having led lights fitted on the underneath of the quartz worktop so they shine down on the cupboards.

Has anyone done.this? If so where.does the wire for the lights go?

Personally I wouldn't bother as they look a bit Footballers' Wives 90s.

If you like them though they are in a clear tube which is tacked underneath along the edge of the cabinetry and the wiring at the end would go to a electric socket inside one of the lower cabinets.

Doesn't the builder mean strip lighting LEDs rather than tube/bulbs?

It's just a strip of lights on a roll. I always rhough they look a bit like a roll of caps my friend had for her cap gun (or was it her brother's capgun? But I digress...)
