Oadby or Groby

Hello. Just looking for some views. We are looking to relocate to Leicester early next year with work. We have a 5 year old son so need to be in an area with good schools. Work involves travel to Nottingham, coalville, derby or birmingham. Torn in our decision. We like Oadby for the schools but are concerned that the travel would add an extra half hour each way if travelling to birmingham? Groby is lovely, but the schools are limited and some have already stated no space. Any experiences for travel from Oadby would be very much appreciated. Thanks..

North end of Knighton would mean you would be in town and could cut across onto motorway. The schools are great and the area is lovely.
We don't live there though (not rich enough).
I would look at both north west and south west Leicestershire villages in your shoes. They are full of "nice" families with "nice" kids who all go to the local schools. You will be able to afford a decent house and garden too...
