Could anyone tell me where to get these? The B&Q & Homebase ones all look/feel plastic and I'm loathe to order online in case they're the same.

Screwfix? You can order and return them straight away if you don't like them. There are lots of specialist electrical retailers too.

I've recently bought hundreds from Masterplug on Amazon. Again, can return if you don't like the product, but very good quality as far as I can tell and electrician was suitable impressed.

*suitably!

Thank you both, I'll look into this.

Another vote for screw fix. Got mine there. Not expensive either!

I got mine in Gardner Scardifeld

GiddyOnZackHunt · 26/09/2016 11:12

We have Varilight products ordered through Gardner Scardifield.

Got ours in Screwfix, really pleased with them. We also got some with the usb ports on as well - really handy.

We bought all of ours from electrical counter as they had good prices - I went for the nexus metal brushed steel. I have done the whole house and love them!

I went for a raised one, rather than a flat plate as in our previous house we had flat plate and it was awkward trying to install them when the wall box behind wasn't quite big enough for the cables.

Thank you all. I'm especially pleased to have my very first PJ reply 😀

Tool station is usually cheaper than screw fix and often send out a voucher for £10 off a £50 spend. Quality is great.
