I live in a private rented house. My landlords mother is driving slowly by my house every week an staring in the window. I have 3 kids here 1 is only a baby.
A few times she has drove by I have been changing my son or dressing him after a bath. This is stressing me so much I want to move. Am I being silly?

Sounds like she's over invested in making sure you're not running a brothel / crack den / burning the place down on behalf of her DC. I'd give her a wave (assuming you're not actually doing any of those things Grin)

WatchingFromTheWings · 15/09/2016 12:36

Put up a pair of net curtains at the window. She won't be able to see a thing!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 15/09/2016 12:40

She's checking the property, unless she's got her nose up against the window she's allowed to do it.

You must have your own head out of the window to notice her while bathing/ dressing your son!

Get a blind / draw the curtains and don't give it another thought.

Tiggeryoubastard · 15/09/2016 12:45

How can she be looking through your windows from a car in the road? And that isn't your landlord.

emmapenny · 15/09/2016 12:46

Pinkerbeller lol not doing any of the above. I have been very stressed since I had my son and he was very ill at 3 months with pneumonia my health visitor says I have pnd but I'm just stressed an I just want to live in peace.
Watchfromthewings I have blinds up.

Next time just tell the kids to wave to her! Once she realises she has been spotted she will prob bugger off!

Tiggeryoubastard · 15/09/2016 12:47

Ffs if you have blinds (I assume vertical) she can't see in from that distance.

emmapenny · 15/09/2016 12:50

My bathroom is downstairs I have to pass the front door and my living room window is about 2 foot from the floor, road is about 8foot from the house it's hard not to see someone driving by slowly.

You are living in peace. Sorry you're poorly but you're making a mountain out of a mole hill.

BigginsforPope · 15/09/2016 12:52

I think you do need to either ignore her or as other posters have suggested give her a friendly wave. In our previous rented house the landlord got himself a paper round delivering the free ads paper in our street. Next door often used to see him having a nosy in the back garden when we were out.

I can see where you are coming from and would find it difficult to relax if I felt that I was being checked up on all of the time.
They're not technically doing anything wrong but I wouldn't be comfortable with it.
Is the house rented through an agency? Could you have a chat with them?
