Could this be asbestos in ceiling?

We are renovating 1920s house, part of ceiling just fallen in- could this asbestos or is hairy bit just horsehair from plaster? I'm not sure how helpful this picture is

Looks like woodworm to me.

Get it tested - there are labs that will do it for about £25, you just post off a small sample. No one can tell you just by looking at a photo.

Judging by all the holes and the wood dust, there's definitely woodworm. The hairs may well be remnants of plaster. Isn't asbestos lighter in colour?
