Where to live? Surbiton?

Hello,
We are looking to buy a property in Surbirton., We currently live near Chichester but are missing the urban life (urban cycling, coffee, pubs, culture)
My husband works in Guilford and my work is shared between Croydon and Chichester.
I used to live in Islington for 7 years and I really do miss it. I love how its fast, busy and lively.
Would you recommend Surbiton as a nice compromise being not to far from work and urban lifestyle?

I don't think it will be busy enough for you. Plus if you plan to train to work, you'll have to change for both Croydon and Chichester. Have you looked at Kingston? Much more going on - although train service still not great for you.

Surbiton is very much a commuter town - so lots of young, renting types. Why not have a look further down the line at Kingston, Hampton Wick and Teddington?
