Anyone know what St Andrews is like? Looked in Cotham but there seems to be a lot of competition for houses. Redland houses seemed huge and expensive!
Would be very grateful for some advice.

St Andrews is mostly lovely, close to Glos Rd and Montpelier Station. We are thinking of moving next year (I live in one of the other areas you mention) and I'd definitely consider St Andrews when we look.

Have you also looked at Henleaze/Westbury Park/Bishopston? All nice areas also.
