What colour for my hallway (pic attached)

Currently all white with grey carpet and walnut floor. The white isn't faring too well with the kids so I'm thinking of putting some colour on the bottom half of the wall.

Maybe a green? Anyone got similar?

A sage green would add warmth - colourwise I think that's what it lacks. Try some tester pots though as the light will be different in different areas and you can then decide what works best.
