Hanging roman blinds on PVC windows

HexBramble · 21/08/2016 23:08

I've taken off an old blind for the windows to be changed to pvc and now of course, I cannot drill into the off to re hang them, or can I?

In the meantime, I've gone and bought another set of Roman blinds for a different room, but the problem still applies. What should I do?

you should be able to fit them to the "ceiling" bit of the recess instead.

Thanks! Should I need to seek out new fixings? B&Q ?

Yeah I agree, fix to ceiling if you can. I drilled into the frame once, gush of air came out, broke the seal Blush

what fixings came with the blind?

usually it's a cube or L shape so you have the option of screwing it to the window or ceiling, or sometimes the sides

like this with screw holes in all sides.

ButteredToast oh hell, I'll not do that then!

Tondelay thanks - I'll need new fixings for old blind so your pic is v helpful. DH forgot to remove old fixings when the lads replaced our windows ~despite lots of reminding~
