Is my daughter the unlucky one to have a ghastly experience with smiths of bromley carrying out the loft conversion no way would she recommend using this company. Are there other members who have had similar bad experience with this company?

I was about to hire them but was waiting for them to send me referees as they said they would. Just got an email from the director asking me what I was doing as they were very busy.... Do you want to pm me?

Yep, I can relate :-) I had a nasty and very stressful experience with them. To say I’m unhappy with my experience with Smiths of Bromley is an understatement. And it all started so well. Fast progress in the first week, but after the raw structure was finished, it became increasingly a full time job to try and coax the various contractors into finishing all the half done jobs they had started. So-called project manager Steve is a man of many promises and very little actual managing, but nothing else.
The builders do whatever they feel like – in my case it was to fit the smallest, cheapest windows they could find. I complained and was met with patronising attitude, lies and repeated attempts of intimidation.
They also damaged my wooden flooring by placing heavy ladders on the floor without protection. 1/2 inch deep marks and scratches all over. Then refused to acknowledge the damage...
It took a notification for a court case to finally get a response from Terrence Smith after 3+ months!
Needless to say, I would not recommend this company to anyone.
